What we fix on LG dryers.

/01

Flow Sense d80 / d90 / d95 duct restriction

Flow Sense reports d80, d90, or d95 — an airflow warning, not a broken part, where the number tracks roughly how blocked the exhaust is. The lint filter and the full duct to the exterior are cleared and the flap checked.

/02

tE1 / tE3 thermistor fault

A tE1 (inlet/heater) or tE3 (outlet) thermistor reads out of range, so the dryer over- or under-heats. The temperature sensor and its harness are tested against spec and replaced if drifted.

/03

nP no current at heater

An nP code means the heater is getting no current — most often a missing 240V leg from a tripped breaker, a half-dead outlet, or a damaged cord. The supply voltage and the heating circuit are verified.

/04

AE compressor fault (heat-pump)

On a ventless DLHC heat-pump dryer, AE flags a compressor fault (not a washer leak). The sealed heat-pump system, sensors, and control are diagnosed by a technician experienced with inverter heat-pump dryers.

/05

Dryer runs but clothes stay damp

The drum turns and heats but loads come out damp, or Sensor Dry ends early. A blocked exhaust, a coated moisture sensor, a weak heating element, or a clogged condenser on heat-pump models; each is tested.

/06

No heat at all

The drum tumbles cold. A blown thermal fuse, a failed heating element or gas igniter, an open thermostat, or a heat-pump compressor fault; the heating circuit is traced to the failed component.

/07

F0 / IF lint filter not in place

An F0 (filter out) or IF (filter not assembled / magnet missing) code stops the cycle. The lint filter seating and its magnet are checked, and the filter switch is tested if the code persists.

/08

Drum will not turn (LE1 on heat-pump)

The drum will not rotate, or a heat-pump dryer shows LE1. A broken belt on belt-driven models, a seized idler or roller, or a drum-motor fault; the drive system is inspected and repaired.

/09

PS / improper cord voltage

A PS code flags improper cord voltage or wiring — a miswired 3-prong/4-prong cord or a supply fault. The cord and outlet wiring are checked for correct voltage before the dryer is returned to service.

/10

Loud rumbling or squealing

The dryer thumps, rumbles, or squeals while running. Worn drum rollers, a failing idler pulley, a glazed belt, or a foreign object in the blower; the rotating parts are inspected and replaced.

These are the most common issues — not an exhaustive list. Our technicians diagnose and repair any LG dryer problem, including intermittent faults, unusual symptoms, and issues not listed here.

About LG dryer repair

Common LG dryer problems

Expert LG dryer repair covers electric, gas, and ventless heat-pump models, and each fails in its own way. On an LG dryer the most common alerts are Flow Sense duct warnings — d80, d90, and d95 — that report roughly how blocked the exhaust is rather than a broken part, a tE1 or tE3 thermistor fault that throws temperature off, and an nP code when the heater gets no current, usually from a missing 240V leg. Ventless DLHC heat-pump dryers add AE for a compressor fault and LE1 for the drum motor. Clothes that come out damp, a drum that will not turn, and loud rumbling round out the calls. Each traces to a single replaceable component.

Our LG dryer repair process

Our experienced technicians confirm whether the unit is a vented electric DLEX, a gas DLGX, or a ventless DLHC heat-pump dryer, because the diagnosis path differs completely. They read any code, then test the named component — checking the thermistors against spec, verifying the heating element or gas igniter, clearing the exhaust on a Flow Sense alert, and diagnosing the sealed heat-pump system on an inverter model. We fit genuine LG parts matched to the build, and every visit is backed by a 30-day labour warranty. Most repairs are finished in one visit, and you can schedule a dryer repair online whenever it suits you. A clear quote is given before work begins, and the total cost depends on the diagnosis.

LG dryer models we service

We service the full LG dryer lineup, including electric models such as the DLEX4000B, DLEX5500W, and DLEX7900BE, gas models like the DLGX4001B and DLGX5501W, and ventless heat-pump dryers such as the DLHC5502W and the compact DLHC1455W. These dryers carry Sensor Dry and AI Sensor Dry, TrueSteam on steam models, the Dual Inverter HeatPump on ventless units, and ThinQ with Smart Diagnosis. Our model directory lists the thermistors, heating elements, igniters, rollers, belts, and control boards matched to each build so the correct genuine part is fitted the first time.

Error codes and diagnostics

LG dryers report codes that guide diagnosis. The Flow Sense codes d80, d90, and d95 are airflow warnings cleared by cleaning the lint filter and the full duct to the exterior; tE1 and tE3 flag thermistors; nP means no current at the heater; PS flags improper cord voltage; and F0 or IF means the lint filter is out or not assembled. On heat-pump models AE is a compressor fault, not a washer leak, and LE1 is the drum motor. Our technicians confirm each code at the named part, and you can look up what each means on our dryer error-code guides.
